About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Slab Layer / Block Paver to join our growing team. Working on a variety of residential and commercial projects across Surrey and the Home Counties, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality paving, patio, driveway, and landscaping works.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, take pride in their workmanship, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install slab paving, patios, pathways, and block-paved driveways.
- Prepare sub-bases and foundations to the required specifications.
- Set out work accurately from drawings and site plans.
- Lay and cut paving slabs, block paving, kerbs, and edging.
- Carry out excavation and ground preparation works.
- Ensure correct levels, falls, and drainage are achieved.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Work closely with site supervisors and colleagues to deliver projects on schedule.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in slab laying and/or block paving.
- Good understanding of groundwork and paving installation techniques.
- Ability to read site drawings and follow specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- CSCS Card.
- Experience in landscaping and external works.
- CPCS or NPORS plant operator qualifications.
- First Aid certification.
