About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Bricklayer / Groundworker to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of projects across Surrey and the Home Counties, undertaking both bricklaying and groundwork activities to a high standard while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.
This role is ideal for someone with experience across all aspects of brickwork and groundworks who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and working effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of bricklaying, including foundations, substructures, superstructures, extensions, and repairs.
- Undertake groundwork activities, including excavation, drainage installation, concreting, kerbing, paving, and foundations.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Work closely with site managers and colleagues to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Maintain excellent workmanship and attention to detail on every project.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in bricklaying and/or groundworks.
- Good understanding of construction methods and site safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to high-quality workmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- CSCS Card.
- CPCS or NPORS qualifications.
- Experience working on residential refurbishment, extension, and new-build projects.
- First Aid certification.
